Jersey Advanced Drivers Association assist others to improve their driving and to progess toward taking one or both of the advanced driving tests offered by RoSPA and IAM. We do this by way of "observed runs".

These are carried our by experienced members at times mutually suitable, and in the candidates own car. JADA has both male and female observers.

Each run is conducted in accordance with the guidelines and requirements of IAM and RoSPA, which forms the basis of our 'course'. The method id based upon 5 principles.

Information: eg, Checking mirrors for other trafic
Position: eg, Moving smoothly and positively
Speed: eg, Progressive application of brakes
Gears: eg, Selection of correct gear for any situation
Acceleration: eg, Postitve increase to suitable speed
